What's going on CAISA Members? I hope you guys all had an amazing weekend at Mark Knight with CAISA. It was one of the first times we've held an event like that so we hope you enjoyed it!

Here's your update on what's coming up! Very exciting!

1. CAISA Fashion Show 2012: Launch Party with Mark Oliver and Finally Famous

CAISA Fashion Show’s annual Launch Party is here. Come out and party with models, dancers and execs from the show as we reveal our theme and name for the 2012 year.

2. CAISA Formal: Three Sweet Words

CAISA Formal is back again for an unforgettable night of good laughs, fun and excitement! This is a WET/DRY event! Cash bar will be open all night, ID will be required. Doors open at 7pm, and dinner will be served shortly after!

3. CAISA Dodgeball Tournament
• Date and Time: Saturday November 26th 1-3
• Location: Althouse Gym

Dodge, Dip, Duck, Dive, and Dodge. Think you got what it takes to be a true Dodgeball hero? Let's test your skills at CAISA's first Dodgeball tournament of the year. We get all sorts of competition at the tournament and it’s a great way to meet new friends. Come join us Saturday at 1. Perfect way to get over that hangover from Friday night ;) I better see all you Boys AND Girls on Saturday!

• $70/Team - 6-8 Players

4. Finally here's a quick bit of information about an upcoming Defining Moments workshop hosted by one of our very own exec, Justine Lee! Let's show some CAISA love and support her!
• Date and Time: Sunday, November 27 · 1:00pm - 2:30pm
• Location: Wemble/Vitali Lounge at King's College

Hosted with USC Ethnocultural Services. Defining Moments is a TakingITGlobal (TIG) initiative and TIG is a national charity organization using social media for social change. As the world's largest community for young people interested in social change, their mission is to empower youth and they have teamed up with Canadian Heritage to host this awesome project! It's a free workshop and snacks will be provided. 

Defining Moments is a national digital media arts and citizenship project aimed at bringing together the perspectives of youth across the country on their personal and national identity. 15-30 students will have the opportunity to participate in a 1 1/2 hour workshop that will facilitate discussion and dialogue. After the contest, students will be encouraged to submit an art piece of any medium to express takeaways from the workshop (artistic ability and background are not required to participate in this project) and a travelling art exhibit of selected works will circulate in the summer of 2012.

CAISA Update November 9th 2011

Hey there CAISA fans,

I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend. A huge thanks goes out to all of you who came out to Black and Yellow with us! We hope you had fun with all the dirtee dancing ;)

Just to let you know, we are at booth in the UCC all week! If we aren't at a table in the atrium, come by around Williams/Subway and you should see us in our CAISA shirts. Please come by for more information about all our upcoming events or just come by to say hi. It would be great to see you there!

3. Coming on November 17th is the much anticipated CAISA Fashion Show Launch Party! Join us at the release of this year's name and theme at the Barking Frog! Tickets are going to be $5 and are available at booth. If you are unable to stop by booth for any reason, feel free to message any one of the exec for tickets!
   

4. Can you dodge a wrench? Then you can dodge a ball! Come out this Saturday, November 26th at Althouse Gym for our CAISA Dodgeball Tournament! Start forming your teams of 6-8 people and come by the booth to sign your team up. Let's see what you've got guys and girls!  Team fee is $70.

Speakers will be talking about Ivey, Medicine, Law and a variety of others. Email us if you have questions or requests! Oh and did I mention that there's also free food and that the entire event's free?! Tell your friends now!

CAISA UPDATE OCT 25th.

Hi there CAISA friends!

I hope everyone had a great weekend and isn't too swamped with work! Halloween's coming up right around the corner so don't be down! Keep that smile going :)

Thanks again to all of you who came out to the Cultural Dinner and Silhouettes at Up On Carling! It was great getting to see all of you again and getting to meet some new faces as well ;). I know all of us had an amazing time and we hope you  did too. Please feel free to let us know if you have any feedback for us! We would love to hear your opinions.

2. The CAISA Fashion Show Model and Talent Auditions are on right now!!! Come be a part of Canada's largest student-organized fashion show and one of UWO's most anticipated events! We are looking for all sorts of talent! If you feel like you can bring something to our show, we wanna see what you've got! Recommended this to your friends and feel free to come by and ask any questions you have :)
   These are the following times for open auditions:
• Tuesday October 25: 6pm-10pm UCC 3rd Floor
• Wednesday October 26: 6:30pm-10pm UCC 3rd Floor
• Thursday October 27: 5pm-10pm UCC 3rd Floor 

3. School getting you down? Need help with some homework? Looking for some help on your next exam? Come join us at our CAISA Study Sessions!! Yeah that's right! Of course we can help you with your homework ;)
   Come find us on:

• 6:30pm-11pm in UCC Room 66

You'll have some great company while studying in a calm and quiet atmosphere. Forget looking for a spot in Weldon or Taylor and come join us first :) Bring your friends!! We'll have hard copies of previous exams for you to peruse and upper execs from different programs will be around for help if needed! Definitely time well spent ;)

4. Halloween's coming up! Here's a shout out for the USC Haunted Forest!! A good mix of spooky and fun, visit the Haunted Forest for a quick study break or just a nice little date ;)

CAISA UPDATE OCTOBER 18TH!

Greetings CAISA friends!

I hope everyone had an awesome Thanksgiving! I know school has been picking up for most of you but do not fret, CAISA has some great events lined up.

Here's your breakdown of what's going on!

This Wednesday, October 18th aka tomorrow evening is our Cultural Dinner!

5PM - 10PM - $25

We here at CAISA are mildly obsessed with food…but I mean who’s not?!?! Come join us tomorrow night as we have a delicious feast at our proud sponsor restaurant Chinese BBQ!  Then after all that goodness we’re heading to our proud sponsor bubble tea house Tea Shop 168! BBQ Pork and BBT. You can’t go wrong! We’re also hooking you guys up with a free lift from and back to campus. Tickets are $25 and are going to be sold at CAISA booth! Come get your tickets quick cause there's only two days left to buy! Great way to socialize and meet a bunch of nice people. Also, you get to meet all of the great exec and kidCAISA. ;)

Come join us at Silhouettes @ Up on Carling  this Saturday, CAISA's first bar night of the year, always an unforgettable night! Tickets are 5 dollars and are being sold starting tomorrow at booth. If you can't make it to the booth, give one of the exec a shout and they'll hook you up. We look forward to seeing you there ;)

The CAISA Fashion Show Open Model and Talent Recruitment auditions will be taking place October 25-27 in the UCC from 6PM-10PM. For special talent acts, please contact Lyza at cfs.creativedirector@gmail.com to book your audition time.

For those of you looking to get some work done over the next couple weeks, check our Drop In Study Sessions beginning next week! More information will be released this weekend coming up so we'll keep you posted! Our exam bank is on its way shortly so please keep patient. :) Also, we have our ever informativeProfessionals Night coming up on November 1st. Mark it off on your calendars! You'll get some great information about various career paths from our CAISA alumni! More to come.

We will be at booth all week with your Cultural Dinner and CAISA Bar Night tickets. So come by and pick them up or even just to say hi. We would love it if you stopped by :D

CAISA UPDATE: Week of October 4th

Hey friends!

Hope you guys are all alive after homecoming weekend! CAISA has some big events coming up that we’d like to remind you about!

We have our first….
1) GENERAL MEMBER MEETING on Wednesday, October 5^th 2011 @ HSB 236 from 8PM-9PM!!!
Come meet our executive team for the upcoming year and get some free food while you’re at it! Why not?! We’ll let you know what the agenda looks like for CAISA this year and share a glimpse of the events coming up soon. Also it’s a great time for you guys to ask us anything you want! And I mean anything because we’re here for you! Come on out and lets have the best meet and greet ever!! I need to get to know all of your names. J Also if you have yet to register or pick up your CAISA drawstring bag, you can get all that figured out at the meeting!

Next thing I need to tell you about is….
2) CAISA CULTURAL DINNER on Wednesday, October 19^th 2011 from 5PM-10PM!!!  - $25.
