CAISA UPDATE OCT 25th.


Hi there CAISA friends!

I hope everyone had a great weekend and isn't too swamped with work! Halloween's coming up right around the corner so don't be down! Keep that smile going :)

Thanks again to all of you who came out to the Cultural Dinner and Silhouettes at Up On Carling! It was great getting to see all of you again and getting to meet some new faces as well ;). I know all of us had an amazing time and we hope you  did too. Please feel free to let us know if you have any feedback for us! We would love to hear your opinions.

Alright now here's the break down of what's going on. School's getting busy, CAISA's getting busier ;)

  1. First of all, wanna grab yourself from CAISA merch?! I know you've all seen the beautiful multi-colored shirts that we've been rocking to most of our events and at booth. Here's your chance to get in on the action! Hurry and grab a CAISA shirt so that we can all be like kidCAISA ;) Here's the deets:
    • CAISA T-Shirts are now selling for $10!
    • Available sizes are: Unisex Small, Medium, Large, and X-Large
    • Colour Choices include: Heleconia (Dark Pink), Sapphire (blue), White, Daisy (yellow) Attached is a mockup.
  1. The CAISA Fashion Show Model and Talent Auditions are on right now!!! Come be a part of Canada's largest student-organized fashion show and one of UWO's most anticipated events! We are looking for all sorts of talent! If you feel like you can bring something to our show, we wanna see what you've got! Recommended this to your friends and feel free to come by and ask any questions you have :)
    These are the following times for open auditions:
    • Tuesday October 25: 6pm-10pm UCC 3rd Floor
    • Wednesday October 26: 6:30pm-10pm UCC 3rd Floor
    • Thursday October 27: 5pm-10pm UCC 3rd Floor 
  1. School getting you down? Need help with some homework? Looking for some help on your next exam? Come join us at our CAISA Study Sessions!! Yeah that's right! Of course we can help you with your homework ;)
    Come find us on:
    • Tuesday October 25 and Thursday October 27
    • 6:30pm-11pm in UCC Room 66
You'll have some great company while studying in a calm and quiet atmosphere. Forget looking for a spot in Weldon or Taylor and come join us first :) Bring your friends!! We'll have hard copies of previous exams for you to peruse and upper execs from different programs will be around for help if needed! Definitely time well spent ;)

  1. Halloween's coming up! Here's a shout out for the USC Haunted Forest!! A good mix of spooky and fun, visit the Haunted Forest for a quick study break or just a nice little date ;)
    Deets are: 
    • Wednesday October 26-Friday October 28
    • Forest behind Saugeen Maitland Hall
    • Admission is $3 - All proceeds go to Childreach

  1. And now to our first event of November which is……..Professionals Night! We here at CAISA know that the entire university experience can get confusing at times and getting some guidance is always a good thing! Come out to our Professionals Night and get some good quality information about various post-graduate programs and career opportunities!  We will host various speakers from a variety of industries that will inform you on what courses to take, how to apply and all the other tidbits of information that you might need. Speakers will be talking about Ivey, Medicine, Law and a variety of others. Email us if you have questions or requests! Oh and did I mention that there's also free food and that the entire event's free?! Tell your friends now!

  1. Finally here's a quick shout out for our sponsor restaurant Tea Shop 168! You guys are going to want to hear this!
    Tea Shop 168 is having its 3rd Opening Anniversary and they want you to join them! On October 30th, all drinks will be HALF price from 1pm - 7pm. Take a break from the work and get yourself some bubble tea. : ) Maybe I'll get to see some of you there!

This was a long email. I'm sorry if it was too long. But there's a lot of information we need to get out and we don't want any of you to miss our events : )
