CAISA Update October 31st

Hi there CAISA friends!

Happy Halloween Everybody! Hope everyone's having a good Monday. Here's a quick update on what's going on in November! 

1. First of all, wanna grab yourself from CAISA merch?! I know you've all seen the beautiful multi-colored shirts that we've been rocking to most of our events and at booth. Here's your chance to get in on the action! Hurry and grab a CAISA shirt so that we can all be like kidCAISA ;) Here's the deets:
• CAISA T-Shirts are now selling for $10!
• Available sizes are: Unisex Small, Medium, Large, and X-Large
• Colour Choices include: Heleconia (Dark Pink), Sapphire (blue), White, Daisy (yellow) Attached is a mockup.
• We are now accepting PRE-ORDERS (stop by booth or contact Kelly Mark at caisa.vp.operations@gmail.com) 

2. Here comes Professionals Night! We here at CAISA know that the entire university experience can get confusing at times and getting some guidance is always a good thing! Come out to our Professionals Night and get some good quality information about various post-graduate programs and career opportunities!  We will host various speakers from a variety of industries that will inform you on what courses to take, how to apply and all the other tidbits of information that you might need. Speakers will be talking about Ivey, Medicine, Law and a variety of others. Email us if you have questions or requests! Oh and did I mention that there's also free food and that the entire event's free?! Tell your friends now!

3. November 5th. Uh huh. You know what it is! Black and Yellow, Black and Yellow, Black and Yellow!
   This is a first for CAISA ever. Come join us this Saturday at Club LG as we collaborate for the first time with the Black Students' Association. Oh yeah baby! Check out the Facebook event! With us combined...who can party harder?
   Details are:

• $5 Members, $10 Non-Members, $15 at the door

4. For the first time ever, CAISA is partnering with Club Rouge to bring you MARK KNIGHT, the leader and legend of Tech-House which is taking over music and becoming the most popular genre of electronic music. He is also a resident at Space Ibiza, the mecca of house music! Toolroom productions are consistently the most popular and most downloaded songs on BeatPort. Details:

CAISA UPDATE OCT 25th.

Hi there CAISA friends!

I hope everyone had a great weekend and isn't too swamped with work! Halloween's coming up right around the corner so don't be down! Keep that smile going :)

Thanks again to all of you who came out to the Cultural Dinner and Silhouettes at Up On Carling! It was great getting to see all of you again and getting to meet some new faces as well ;). I know all of us had an amazing time and we hope you  did too. Please feel free to let us know if you have any feedback for us! We would love to hear your opinions.

Alright now here's the break down of what's going on. School's getting busy, CAISA's getting busier ;)

2. The CAISA Fashion Show Model and Talent Auditions are on right now!!! Come be a part of Canada's largest student-organized fashion show and one of UWO's most anticipated events! We are looking for all sorts of talent! If you feel like you can bring something to our show, we wanna see what you've got! Recommended this to your friends and feel free to come by and ask any questions you have :)
   These are the following times for open auditions:
• Tuesday October 25: 6pm-10pm UCC 3rd Floor
• Wednesday October 26: 6:30pm-10pm UCC 3rd Floor
• Thursday October 27: 5pm-10pm UCC 3rd Floor 

3. School getting you down? Need help with some homework? Looking for some help on your next exam? Come join us at our CAISA Study Sessions!! Yeah that's right! Of course we can help you with your homework ;)
   Come find us on:
• Tuesday October 25 and Thursday October 27
• 6:30pm-11pm in UCC Room 66

You'll have some great company while studying in a calm and quiet atmosphere. Forget looking for a spot in Weldon or Taylor and come join us first :) Bring your friends!! We'll have hard copies of previous exams for you to peruse and upper execs from different programs will be around for help if needed! Definitely time well spent ;)

4. Halloween's coming up! Here's a shout out for the USC Haunted Forest!! A good mix of spooky and fun, visit the Haunted Forest for a quick study break or just a nice little date ;)

6. Finally here's a quick shout out for our sponsor restaurant Tea Shop 168! You guys are going to want to hear this!
   Tea Shop 168 is having its 3rd Opening Anniversary and they want you to join them! On October 30th, all drinks will be HALF price from 1pm - 7pm. Take a break from the work and get yourself some bubble tea. : ) Maybe I'll get to see some of you there!

CAISA UPDATE OCTOBER 18TH!

Greetings CAISA friends!

I hope everyone had an awesome Thanksgiving! I know school has been picking up for most of you but do not fret, CAISA has some great events lined up.

Here's your breakdown of what's going on!

This Wednesday, October 18th aka tomorrow evening is our Cultural Dinner!

5PM - 10PM - $25

We here at CAISA are mildly obsessed with food…but I mean who’s not?!?! Come join us tomorrow night as we have a delicious feast at our proud sponsor restaurant Chinese BBQ!  Then after all that goodness we’re heading to our proud sponsor bubble tea house Tea Shop 168! BBQ Pork and BBT. You can’t go wrong! We’re also hooking you guys up with a free lift from and back to campus. Tickets are $25 and are going to be sold at CAISA booth! Come get your tickets quick cause there's only two days left to buy! Great way to socialize and meet a bunch of nice people. Also, you get to meet all of the great exec and kidCAISA. ;)

Come join us at Silhouettes @ Up on Carling  this Saturday, CAISA's first bar night of the year, always an unforgettable night! Tickets are 5 dollars and are being sold starting tomorrow at booth. If you can't make it to the booth, give one of the exec a shout and they'll hook you up. We look forward to seeing you there ;)

The CAISA Fashion Show Open Model and Talent Recruitment auditions will be taking place October 25-27 in the UCC from 6PM-10PM. For special talent acts, please contact Lyza at cfs.creativedirector@gmail.com to book your audition time.

For those of you looking to get some work done over the next couple weeks, check our Drop In Study Sessions beginning next week! More information will be released this weekend coming up so we'll keep you posted! Our exam bank is on its way shortly so please keep patient. :) Also, we have our ever informativeProfessionals Night coming up on November 1st. Mark it off on your calendars! You'll get some great information about various career paths from our CAISA alumni! More to come.

We will be at booth all week with your Cultural Dinner and CAISA Bar Night tickets. So come by and pick them up or even just to say hi. We would love it if you stopped by :D

CAISA UPDATE: Week of October 4th

Hey friends!

Hope you guys are all alive after homecoming weekend! CAISA has some big events coming up that we’d like to remind you about!

We have our first….
1) GENERAL MEMBER MEETING on Wednesday, October 5^th 2011 @ HSB 236 from 8PM-9PM!!!
Come meet our executive team for the upcoming year and get some free food while you’re at it! Why not?! We’ll let you know what the agenda looks like for CAISA this year and share a glimpse of the events coming up soon. Also it’s a great time for you guys to ask us anything you want! And I mean anything because we’re here for you! Come on out and lets have the best meet and greet ever!! I need to get to know all of your names. J Also if you have yet to register or pick up your CAISA drawstring bag, you can get all that figured out at the meeting!

Next thing I need to tell you about is….
2) CAISA CULTURAL DINNER on Wednesday, October 19^th 2011 from 5PM-10PM!!!  - $25.

We will be at the tables beside Williams and Subway. All of the Exec will be wearing CAISA shirts so that you can find us easily. Come by and ask us as many questions as you like, pick up tickets for Cultural Dinner and just drop by to hang out. We would really appreciate your company!
